Orders

Ordering from the walk

Rope is laid to order. Standard lengths ship from stock in two working days; the walk slots fill about three weeks out.

Demonstration: no list exists and nothing is sent.

How an order runs

From post to proof

The office books the order into the ledger with a crane number reserved. The walk slots it in at the next pass that matches the fibre and lay. When the rope comes off the walk it goes to the crane, takes its proof, and the number is written against your order. Then it is coiled, papered, and posted or collected at the quay door.

Allow three weeks for anything over 100 metres in one piece, and ask early for the winter rush: the yachting season’s refit orders crowd the November walk.
